It's hard to ignore that these abilities align tightly with the jobs of Amazon warehouse workers. I am a huge fan of robotics and the technology, advancements and knowledge we can gain across all fields involved in these endeavours. Especially AI. However, at the end of the day, if these technologies aim to replace workers in the manufacturing sector like we are seeing in the service industry already .. we are in for major issues.

Advancing these technologies at a pace that society cannot keep up with, in terms of regulation , labour laws, human rights etc is a grave error.

In the novel "terminator dreams," theres a prototype terminator that gets hacked by skynet and goes crazy. This reminds me of it

The speed with which it rips that engine cover out as soon as it snags is terrifying. I don't want that thing touching anything in my house or shed

People can do this better and are better for the environment, don’t cost millions and aren’t dangerous and pointless like robots are.

It is laughable to try and put Tesla next to Boston Dynamics as far as tech on robotics. This is like putting Stark Industries and Hammer Industries on the same playing field if you were looking at the Iron Man series…

We are decades behind true AI andoids that make sense….

I'm in my late 50s now, and I am glad I won't see these things becoming full blown terminators.
