Chinese robotics startup ENGINEAI has introduced the SE01, a humanoid robot that’s poised to redefine the standards of robotic movement and agility. Dubbed “the coolest robot on the planet,” SE01 is making waves for its lifelike walking motion, thanks to its self-developed harmonic joint modules and advanced training techniques like reinforcement learning and imitation learning.
What sets SE01 apart is its ability to process sensory input through an end-to-end neural network, allowing the robot to adjust its movements in real-time. This means SE01 can walk smoothly and naturally, much like a human. But the innovation doesn’t stop at walking—the robot features 32 degrees of freedom across its body, enabling it to handle complex tasks that require agility and flexibility.
The robot’s maximum joint torque of 330 Newton meters allows it to perform heavy-duty tasks, including lifting objects, climbing stairs, and pushing or pulling loads. These capabilities make SE01 a versatile tool for a wide range of industries, from manufacturing to research. Founded in 2023 and based in Shenzhen, ENGINEAI is on a mission to make humanoid robots more agile, flexible, and lifelike, moving one step closer to the seamless integration of robots into everyday life.
