OpenAI is partnering with 1X to build their first-ever physical robot, which will integrate AI with the real world. The robot will have advanced language models, such as GPT-4 and GPT-5, and the first demo is set for summer 2023. The potential of this robot is enormous, but concerns about the safety of artificial general intelligence continue to grow. OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, believes that the benefits of AI are worth the risks and is committed to advancing the field.
